Many people switching to a healthier lifestyle know they would be better off avoiding regular name brand peanut butters and switching to natural peanut butter.
Regular peanut butter is normally loaded with sugar, partially hydrogenated oils and other "fillers".
Truly natural peanut butter on the other hand is made of only peanuts and perhaps salt.
Some people who are "addicted" to their favorite brands often complain that natural peanut butter is not sweet enough. They also don't like the hassle of oil separation.
Here is a modification of a tip I borrowed from Diane Kress (Author of the Metabolism Miracle).
I have found that people switching to natural peanut butter using this small tip usually end up liking natural peanut butter in time ... and if fact, find they can't go back to the "normal" stuff.
In fact, the name brand peanut butters then taste cheap and fake to them by comparison.
Take a 16 ounce jar of Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter.
Pour off approximately 25% of the oil.
Add 1 heaping tablespoon of SPLENDA (Sucralose) sweetener.
Place the open jar in a microwave and heat for 45 seconds.
Stir well.
You will find this has a true, deep Peanut taste (far better than the name brand stuff) and healthier too.
SPECIAL NOTE - Don't be fooled by peanut butters that claim to be both natural and "no stirring needed".
They use Palm Oil in these products to prevent oil separation.
Technically they can advertise "natural" because Palm Oil is a natural product.
However, it is one of the few and rare vegetable oils that has shown as much potential health issues as dense animal fats.
Try it --- I think you will like it.
