TIP OF THE WEEK - Most people do some kind of stretching or warming up prior to exercise ... BUT ....Many overlook the most important and useful form of warm up.
What is it ?
For best results and to minimize risks of injury or strain, you should perform 1-2 warm up sets with very light weight and higher repetitions every time you move to a different exercise or machine.
The Reason ?
Although general stretching and warm-ups are good, they do not specifically prepare you for specific ranges of motion or stresses. By performing warm up sets of EACH EXERCISE before beginning the serious training sets, you get the body warmed up in the precise manner in which it will be forced to work under heavier loads. This is among the most effective form of warm-up.
