You have probably seen the headlines the last few weeks warning that High Protein Diets are dangerous for your health.
Arrghhhhh .... once again the news media throws out bad information and scary headlines that only confuse most people. Let me set the record straight !
These articles were apparently written by somebody who has little knowledge of nutrition. They warn of the health hazards of a high protein diet -- BUT -- then they list the following foods ...... Bacon Sausage McDonalds hamburgers Fried Pork Chops Bologna etc...
THIS IS NOT a high protein diet, this is a HIGH FAT diet. Protein and Fat are NOT the same thing.
So the authors of these articles warn readers about the dangers of Protein but then reference high fat foods as evidence.
Keep in mind, next to water - PROTEIN is the most abundant constituent of your body. So what is an example of a real "High Protein" meals ..........

And NO, although natural Peanut Butter is a good source for healthy fats - it is not really a HIGH PROTEIN food !
Hope this information helps some people out there who may have been needlessly alarmed by the all too frequent flawed information that is called "news" these days.
