I recently purchased your book and in it you suggest Resveratrol, Deer Velvet Antler, Tribulus terrestris, d-Aspartic acid, and Saw Palmetto supplementation for us "older" guys to help naturally increase our testosterone levels - however, you do not say how much or when to take the supplements - any recommendations? - I am 59 - great book BTW

Yammiman-
Thanks for the feedback.
Regarding the supplements - Since these are supplements that don't have the same "official" FDA requirements and recommendations as vitamins and minerals ... there is some room for experimentation here.
However most all the manufacturers comply the same Daily Suggested guidelines for these, so you can usually follow the minimum and maximum amounts they have on the label.
Some examples ....
Tribulus 1,000-2,000 mg (based on 45-60% Saponins) daily. ZMA (B6 15 mg Magnesim Aspartate 450 mg Zinc Complex 30 mg) Saw Palmetto 320-640 mg daily)
Also as a good practice it is best to spread most supplements out. The idea of a 24 hour release pill is not really that accurate So for example if you have a choice to take 2- 500mg pills spaced 12 hours apart or take a bigger one-a-day type pill which claims to be time released, it is better to control the "time releasing" yourself by spreading out the consumption of the pills.

The Tribulus I have (MET-Rx Tribulus 750)says 750mg but then says "standardized to contain 40% saponins 300mg" - so should I base my 1,000-2,000 mg daily on the 750mg or the 300mg?

Based on that dosage I would guess there is a sentence someplace on the label that suggests taking one capsule - TWICE DAILY ------ for a total of 2 capsules per day. Let me know if I am correct on this. I am pretty certain you will find this to be the case. Mike S

The various pre-workout products do offer SOME assistance in losing weight , but really it is more like icing on a cake. At most, they may contribute 5-10% extra help.
Products like LIPO-6 and the ones you referenced tend to use the same combinations of Caffeine, 7-KETO DHEA, Synephrines and other similar compounds. They are mostly all the same and none of them are really revolutionary or special.

Yes. every little bit helps. Kind of like sprinkles on an ice cream sundae It is not a major difference, but it adds maybe 5-10% to the whole equation

Persoanlly, I like a PRE-workout that includes some forms of ... Creatine Glutamine Arginine Caffeine
For POST- workout, I like a straightforward Protein shake with at least 35-50 grams of protein within 30 minutes of finishing workout

John As a rule and in my own life, the best POST workout is something with some carbs (not excessive) and at least 40-50 grams of protein.
