This is the time of year when many people get frustrated and abandon their New Years' Resolutions. One such goal is weight loss. I wanted to share a conversation I had this week which may explain why a little misunderstanding can sabotage your goals.
A person at the gym asked me why they were still gaining so much weight even thought they were exercising "every day" and "eating healthy".
I asked her what she was eating every day.
She then gave me a long list including yogurts, fruits, smoothies,rice cakes, etc....
What she thought was healthy is actually loaded with Sugar, Sugar, Sugar and more Sugar.
So she was facing a double whammy ...... exercising more than she needed to for results AND consuming far too much sugar and carbs each day and far too little protein.
I share this story so those not seeing results can step back and re-evaluate what they are doing and how they may likewise be sabotaging their own efforts.
